Traditions

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
I agree with my sister Deanna! My father and mother have wonderful taste!
Brown Paper Packages tied up with strings...no kidding. We {heart} brown paper at our house!!! There's just something about that brown paper and twill tape.

2. Real tree or Artificial?
Real...I don't think we EVER had a fake tree growing up...We have always gone to our ranch in Wyoming and gotten a beautiful tree! This year we went up the canyon and got one ;) a little more close to home! This year I took a tree to my apartment in Provo! Real of course!!!

3. When do you put up the tree?
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas...the most logical time...usually the day or two after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down?
Last Wednesday ;) at least in my apartment! At home it stays a little bit after Christmas... a little into January sometimes!

5. Do you like eggnog?
I will have hot chocolate or milk... no raw eggs for me please!

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
I remember when I was really really little, when we still lived in Springville, getting a barbie house! it was two stories and pink and blue! It was for Deanna and I and I loved it!

7. Hardest person to buy for?
I can never think of what to buy for friends... I think it's the hardest... family is easy ;) for the most part

8. Easiest person to buy for?
Katelyn! she always gives me hints... and not subtle either. She told me what she wanted this year, and I told here to wait for her birthday ;)

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
Not one of my own.... someday I will have a beautiful set for ME!

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
I leave that up to parents for now

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Oh Deanna! I am so so sorry! I loved that watch dearly though! (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, then read Deanna's blog) I can't think of a worst Christmas gift... I just try to be grateful for what I do get

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
A White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, & Little Women

13. When do you start shopping?
oh, a little in advance. When I find what I want, then I get it

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Not that I can think of... I have given a few to my little sisters as hand-me-downs though... but not as gifts

15. Lights on the tree?
Only wrapped around every single branch and twig! We use to have colored lights, but now my mom puts white lights on! It is always such a beautiful tree!

16. Favorite Christmas song?
I love so many! I really like Amy Grant's Grown Up Christmas List and Breath of Heaven! I also love Reba's Christmas cd... and a few more too!

17. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
When we lived in Springville we would always go to our cousins or grandparents houses, but now we just stay home and enjoy each others company!

18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's?
Suprisingly yes. Can You? :)

19. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Um... depends if the tree can hold it ;) my mom has a star so I suppose we do

20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Morning?
What kind of question is that!?!? Christmas Morning, always. Exceptions: Pajamas on Christmas eve.!

21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
I absolutely love Christmas music, but when people play it before Thanksgiving... That is just way annoying

22. Favorite ornament theme or color?
I don't like red and green together except at Christmas time.! Then I love it! but I really like deep reds and greens! They are so beautiful!

23. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
hmmm...something like ham and potatoes with some delicious salad! Yum!

24. What do you want for Christmas this year?
I didn't know what to write to Santa this year! I mostly just am glad to be home with everyone and to be done with my first semester of school!

25. What is your all-time favorite Christmas Tradition?
My favorite tradition is watching all the Christmas movies with my family! Especially my dad! I love quoting them all throughout the Christmas Season!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Waiting for a while...

So I don't have time to go through and make all my stuff private and all that so I will adjust the setting during the Christmas break!
But anyways, I just wanted to express my appreciation to my family for such a fun and memorable Thanksgiving! I had a great week & loved seeing my family and even had time to see a few friends! I expect Christmas wont be quite as fun cause all the family isn't going to be up in Idaho this year ;) but Christmas will be great with the ones that will be there!
Luv you all!
Stephanie

BTW!~ Thanks Dad for the Christmas Tree!
*Me and my roommates have a beautiful Idaho Christmas tree in our Kitchen! I got home last night at 10 pm and we put lights and decorations on it! It looks great! We even made a little paper star to go on top ;) It's pretty fun!*

Like So Many Others

So, like so many others, I am deciding to go private with my blog... too many wierd things go on when they aren't and I don't want to have that happen even though it hasn't yet. ;)

So if you do look at my blog, please post your email or just something & I'll make sure that you will still have access to it!

THanks all! Luvs ya <3

Life Should Be Enjoyed

So today when I was talking with my mom and just about ready to say my good-byes... my dad decides he would like to give me some advice. The advice he gave me is a quote from President Hinckley

"In all Living, have much fun and laughter.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured."

Since then... the whole rest of my day has changed. I have thought about not only enduring to the end, but enjoying the journey along the way. That doesn't mean that all should do is have fun, but that I should like what I'm doing so I can do my best.

So far in college, I have loved the experience. But I am also enduring the difficult classes and the many decisions that I have never been faced with. For a while I have been only enduring and kind of enjoying everything. I need to be more joyful. I'm sure that if everyone was joyful the world would be a much happier place.

In my room at my apartment I have many reminders (wall hangings, quotes, RS & YW projects) that remind me to be more Christlike. One of my favorites is a plaque that says "SIMPLIFY" ~ it's one of my favorites because that is how we enjoy the moments of the time... by simplifying and realizing they are right before our eyes.

;) So this past post is pretty long, but it is something I have thought about today those who read this blog get the pleasure to be the people I share it with! :)

Hello Everyone!

so I have been very busy with school and everything... as you have noticed I am terrible at posting on this blog ;) Not too much has been going on except at the moment I am at home! home sweat home! Since going to school I have learned to better appreciate many more things. Such as my mom for one... She did so much for me and now I have to do it all my own! ;) another thing I have learned to appreciate is the georgous piano I had at home. I have one in the basement of my apartment, but it doens't work properly, the pedals are broken... sad stuff! :'/

Well I also appreciate the love and support from my family and friends! it means so much to be supported and to know that people you love, love you back!

thanks everyone!

Luv ya tons!!!

Unskaved by the skunk!

Well, quite an exciting event happened on Thurseday. lol... I was sitting in a hammock out in the back yard checking my emails and studying for a test with the computer. When all of a sudden! I look up for a moment and there is a SKUNK looking at me not 10 yards from where I lay!. I was quite suprised myself and quickly text keith "THERE IS A SKUNG BY THE PROPANE TANK!! HURRY!!" not seconds later, Keith comes running outside with a gun and shoots the poor thing ;)

; ) luckily I was inside before the stentch reached me!

Anyhow, that is my most famous skunk tale!

Tootles~ & Lata~!

!!!

Well, Keith said I need to renew my blog! So here it goes ;)

A few weeks ago, I was on staff at a National Youth Leadership Training camp - Cedar Badge. I absolutely had a fantastic time! I loved it and I'm going to go back next year as a Crew President! I am so excited & Jessica Hess is going to be my Vice President! I absolutely love her!

Speaking of Jess, her and Meghan, her sister, came and had a slumber party on Friday! We had so much fun! They came to Lava and we went swimming at the pool and then when we got home that night, Clay built us a fire and we roasted hot dogs and s'mores! Delicious!
On Saturday I planned a horse ride which soon turned into a 4 hour ride cause we had to move cattle. Quite an experience for two wonderful city girls! We had fun, Even though they went home quite sore ;)

We are now going to plan an excursion up to their end of the state (Idaho Falls!)

This summer I am lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons at Lava Hot Springs. I really enjoy it! It's so much fun and I am getting a beautiful tan for Keith's wedding! It's gonna be fun!

Anyway, speaking of Keith's wedding, I need to go practice my songs for his "luncheon".

Luv all you fans of me!

PS> I can't wait to go to BYU!!!!!
